My car (auto gearbox) doesn't always engage reverse gear

Audi S3 quattro Avant - have taken the car for fault code diagnostic's, fault code 19143 = unexpected mechanical gear disengagement and have been told they think the dual clutch system needs replacement, can anyone confirm or have any other suggestions
